Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Heritage Day! Heritage Day is the annual July 4th community celebration of Platteville’s rich history and bright future. The Museums are pleased to announce that Heritage Day 2021 will be in-person on the beautiful three-acre museum campus.
Mine Tours and Train Rides ALL DAY, reserve your spot by registering at www.mining.jamison.museums/tours.
Food by the Platteville Music Boosters. New for this year, arts and craft kits and instruction. Free Family Activities include: reading of the Declaration of Independence at 12 p.m., The Wundo Band 12-4 p.m., antique cars and tractors, early American outdoor games, hit and miss engines, and musical Instrument, woodworking, and spinning demonstrations.
Join us as we celebrate a year of anniversary milestones: 40th of the Rollo Jamison Museum and Heritage Day, 45th of the Bevans Mine opening, and 50th of the completion of the Mining Museum.
