July 4th Heritage Day Celebration

Join us each July 4th for a day of games, demonstrations, special exhibits, music and food.

Platteville’s Historic Re-enactment

Join us each year in September for this free, up-close look at the history of our region and country.  Contemplate early Wisconsin’s role in war, trade, cooperation, and communication while enjoying demonstrations of traditional hunting, trapping, spinning, dying, canons, muskets, woodworking, silversmithing, and blacksmithing. This event, a partnership with the Platteville Chamber of Commerce, takes place at the City of Platteville’s Mound View Park.

Friend of the Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums Annual Meeting and Program

Each November the Friends Group hosts its annual meeting, complete with special speakers and a pasty dinner fundraiser.

Christmas at the Rollo Jamison Museum

Come home to the Museum for special Christmas exhibits and programming each December.  Along with a 14’ Victorian tree, pre-WWII Standard Gauge toy trains, period room settings, and children’s activities, look for performances by the Platteville Chorale, the Children's Choir, and the Platteville High School Blue Notes.

Toy Train Exhibit

The first two weekends of each February toy trains take over the Museum.

Winter Lyceum Speaker Series

Each March join us for special presentations and speakers.
